The Body will be shaken.

Some parts will fall.

Some will survive. The test ahead will not be survival by numbers, but survival by obedience to the signal from the Head.

Perhaps like Mary and Martha—two arms, both vital, both loved, resting beside the Gospel, Jesus Himself:

Mary, the heart surrendered; Martha, the hands serving.

But if service rises above surrender—if fruit detaches from the root, tangled in systems, regulations and forms that choke the Word to further the service and mission work of serving—

what then?

This is not a call to abandon wisdom or shrewdness. 

Scripture affirms the need to be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves".

"Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves."(Matthew 10:16, ESV)

But when shrewdness becomes silence in the face of compromise, or when preservation of peace becomes preservation of corruption, the Body must act. 

 

The issue is not diplomacy—it is discernment. Paul knew when to endure quietly and when to speak publicly. So must we.

 

When the Gospel itself is at risk of being managed, redirected, or diluted by systems and alliances foreign to the Word then...

 

"Shrewdness without separation becomes disobedience."

 

In the days ahead, the Body will have no luxury for sentimentality.

Some parts that once served will now endanger survival.

 

What draws pure life from the Head must remain.

What drags death into the bloodstream must be severed—without hesitation.

Let us continue:

The strength of the Body is not in growth, but in fidelity to the Head. External elements that once aided vitality can become channels of harm.

Biologically, a graft may initially assist recovery, but if it turns foreign, rejection becomes necessary. Untreated infections hijack the bloodstream; gangrene poisons the body. Delay is not compassion—it is death.

Spiritually, the same principle holds. Discernment is critical:

Are all movements still drawing life from Christ?

Or has infection begun?

Severance, though painful, preserves survival. The Body must protect pure life from the Head to endure the shaking ahead.

Jesus warned of radical urgency:

"If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. For it is better that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell." (Matthew 5:30)

Hesitation is fatal. If a part corrupts the Body, it must be cut off—or the whole will perish.

The shaking overturns comforts and reveals hidden loyalties. 

 

Simeon prophesied Christ would cause many to rise or fall, exposing hearts 

"And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother,

‘Behold, this child is appointed for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is opposed (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), so that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.’" (Luke 2:34–35, ESV)

Perhaps even the Body must stumble, so that what cannot be shaken may remain.

When God sent His signal through Samuel to Saul—the Head commanding the muscle—Saul hesitated. He spared what God commanded him to sever. And he lost everything.

Unless every limb heeds the Head’s signal without delay, it will face Saul’s fate:

Loss of favor.

Loss of vitality.

Loss of destiny.

As Christ warned:

"If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into everlasting fire." (Matthew 18:8)

If something causes the Body to sin, better to cut it off—than to lose salvation.

 

The scalpel of truth is coming.
